Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

2 cups butter -- whipped
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oats -- regular
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
24 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
3 cups pecans -- chopped
8 ounces chocolate -- Hersey bar, grated, optional (I never use this)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cream together butter and sugars
Cream in eggs and vanilla
Sift: dry ingredients together add to above
Mix in chips, nuts and chocolate
The secret is to cook till just done, it you cook too long they get too crunchy
