Sweet and spicy cocktail meatballs

1 package frozen meatballs, approx 60 -80 meatballs (1/2 package of frozen italian meatballs from Costco)
32 oz grape jam, Welch's
24 oz heinz chile sauce
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, or more to make spicy enough but not too hot!

Mix jam and chile sauce and heat till melted and smooth, then add red wine and add cayenne pepper to taste. Then add meatballs and cook by simmering and occasionally stirring for one hour on top of stove. I placed them in Crockpot to take to party.

Took these to Xmas party and everyone raved about them! And they are so easy. They taste good served with Hawaian butter rolls.

Doubled the recipe for the supervisor party added 2 cups of red wine and 2 tsp cayenne pepper. There will be sauce leftover that I will put in the freezer.
